Words of Mouth - Joking

I like to joke, I think most of the people like to joke as well. Sometimes we tease people because we want to joke and bring amusement. Worst still, we think they know us well, we think they know this is a just a joke. So, we continue to bring laughter by joking at others. However, this is just our own thinking, we don't exactly know how someone is thinking, if too much of joking sometime becomes serious matter, we might go too far without realising it - the words we speak just too powerful, it can raise one up or destroy one self's esteem.

If you said "Can't you take a joke?", who knows someone would say "I can't see the joke!" Oh oh, can't you imaging how embarrass the situation is, worst still, it might hurt someone unintentionally.

I try to guard my mouth as bible says "He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin”.

To me, this is not an easy task to learn and I am trying my best to guard my mouth nowadays before I have made any regret or awful thing. I hope I can use my mouth to bless others rather than to ruin someone. This is just one kind of wisdom and self control that I want to in store in life.
